Why does my gas cooktop keep clicking constantly?
Continuous clicking is commonly caused by moisture trapped inside the rotary control knob ignition switches after cleaning or a spill. In other cases, an ignition switch has shorted out or the spark generator box has failed. Our technician can isolate the faulty switch and restore normal ignition.
Can an induction cooktop with an error code be repaired?
Yes. Induction cooktops are sophisticated electronic appliances with separate power modules, filter boards, and touch displays. Rather than replacing a $2,000–$4,000 cooktop, we can diagnose error codes (such as E5 or E9) and replace the individual faulty inverter module on-site.
Why does the flame go out when I release the gas knob?
Modern gas cooktops feature flame failure safety devices (thermocouples) that automatically shut off gas if the flame goes out. If the thermocouple tip is covered in grease or has degraded from heat, it cannot sense the flame and cuts off the gas supply. We test and replace thermocouples quickly.
What warranties do you provide on cooktop repairs?
All our cooktop repairs come with up to 12 months warranty on replacement components and labor, and up to 24 months warranty on new unit installations.
